Even though it is not that big, It’s not a speaker that you would want to carry around with you all day. The main selling point of the Sound Box is It’s durability factor; the adventurers out there can take this speaker around, without worrying about getting it damaged or water logged, since it is splash proof! The speaker contains a metal grille set back behind raised rubber. It also contains 2 dedicated full range stereo speakers inside. For the price tag, it has high power and quality, and definitely stands out.

Think of it as a colorful brick with sound…..It weighs in at 1 pound, so it is definitely portable, with a name like Splash, Rugged, Marine Grade, you know it is made for the outdoors, yet attractive enough for the bookshelf.

It contains a Lithium 1400mA rechargeable battery. The average battery life is around 6 hours, which isn’t as good as the very comparable Photive Hydra Rugged water resistant wireless speaker.

They also complain about the range; even though the product claims to have a range of up to 30 feet. Other customers love the durability of it, and rave about the sound quality. Overall, this is a decent speaker.
Price
Priced for under $75, this little speaker by Pyle is a good one to purchase. It is a no frills, nothing fancy, yet rugged, solidly made unit. It has good respectable sound, plus you get a tough little outdoor weatherproof speaker. This just might be a good intro wireless speaker. We like the various color options as well. We give this a rating of 3.8 mainly because it lacks in battery power and is bluetooth only, no line in jack.
